Koolia Granite Information
What is Granite?
Granite is a coarse-grained igneous natural stone that is formed out of magma with a high content of silica over millions of years and is mostly made up of quartz, alkali, feldspar and plagioclase. Granite is one of the hardest and most durable of the natural stone selection. It is almost impossible to scratch and is heat resistant. These properties are what made granite a widespread construction stone and it makes it today the most popular choice when it comes to kitchen worktops.
Why Choose Granite for your kitchen worktops?
When people choose Granite for the kitchen worktops it will be the last worktop they ever need as Granite is very very tough and durable. Granite is heat resistant. Granite also offers stunning beauty that other worktops can't match and as it is a natural stone out of the earth, it's more than likely the pattern and colours in your granite worktop will be unique.
Cleaning your Granite Worktops?
Granite worktops offer a perfect blend of style, strength, and practicality, making them a top choice for modern kitchens and bathrooms. Their natural durability means they can withstand daily wear and tear, resisting scratches, heat, and impact better than many other materials. The wide variety of colours and unique patterns in each slab adds a touch of elegance and exclusivity to any space. Additionally, granite is easy to clean and maintain Its long lifespan and timeless appeal also adds value to a home, making it a smart and stylish investment.
Granite Slab Size.
Granite slabs on average come 3000mm x 1900 but each colour does vary slightly. Granite always comes 30mm thick unless the customer states they want it 20mm thick, but we do recommend you have it 30mm thick, so it stays stronger in the narrow parts of the worktops near hob and sink cut out's.
